Hello, hello! I know it’s the mid-part of the first month of the year but it’s never too late to do a recap of my favorite moments and things I am most grateful for in 2016, right?
Amidst the challenges and health hiccups here and there, I’d say that 2016 has been a good one because of a lot of things He has showered me with. Ready to see the highlights of my 2016? Here we go…
Now if I’d have to pick one single most special moment of my life in 2016, this would be it — the time I got baptized again as Christian. I’d say that this is also the best decision I have ever made in 2016 (and in my entire life for that matter!). Not only do I know that this is the start of a deeper relationship with Him, He also blessed me with two very special women in my life — my spiritual leader, ate Vicky and close friend, Malou, who’d make my faithwalk even more colorful. Yea, He’s cool like that.
I got to see the beautiful Taiwan and witnessed a really good friend joined hearts with the woman he loves.
Other than being able to explore the beautiful country, I also got to release a sky lantern bearing our wishes and prayers with friends we love.
From Nendo, I changed to Peachy Arts & Crafts Ent.! Can you tell just how much in love I am with my name?
Dukit became a part of Peachy Arts and Crafts, too!
Being a part of such amazing community in giving the ALL DONE sign to the kid who has brought so much inspiration to the world, courageous Caitie.
We’re happy to finally open a really cool and cozy board game cafe at the heart of Ubay street, Banawe. Have you checked it out? If you haven’t, you have to!
I bet you’re going to love the food, the place, the ambiance, and the people. Plus, I think it’s the perfect place to hold most of my clay workshops, yea?
We also opened a healthy option for snacks and drinks in the said year, Cool-C. Aside from the fact that it tastes good, it is all fresh and all-natural. Perfect for people like me who loves to eat and stay healthy!
And I got to experience setting up a counter-top immediately after the mall closes up until the mall opens! Despite the lack of sleep for five straight days, it was a totally awesome experience. Oh, and the first branch opened in SM City San Lazaro. Please do check us out and don’t forget to say hi to me, kk? I’d love to see you in person.
My second answered prayer… This bestfriend of mine makes my heart drop every time she goes home alone late at night riding a cab. I ALWAYS worry about her! So I’ve been pushing her to get her own car. Well, it wasn’t just me who made it happen, I prayed for this so that really makes Him and me, you know. Can you tell how happy I was for her? I trust her driving skills better than I actually trust those cab drivers late at night, haha. I’m so proud of her! Welcome baby Hatch!
Now here, the bride happens to be my bestfriend way back AOL days. Together with my sister-in-law, she was my Maid-of-Honor. We used to daydream a lot together when we were still single and promised each other that we will be each other’s MOH. True enough, not only was I able to witness her special day, 2016 was also the year that completed that promise — together with her sister, I was her Made of Honor.
The bride — my bestfriend, my Sweets. This one is very special to me because not only was I chosen to be her MOH, I’ve been praying for this special day for the longest time, too! Since Roch and I became friends, I’ve always known her to be so independent. A super one at that that she actually thought of not marrying at all. Yet even if she feels that way, I’ve always known in my heart that with all the love my best friend has in her heart, she is not destined to be alone. Not that I won’t be around because I know I will always be here for her until the day I die, I just know that there will be days when it’ll be impossible for me to be physically present. So I prayed for someone to look after her, to take really good care of her, to love her unconditionally, someone she can build and fulfill dreams with, someone who’ll make her laugh, someone who will protect her and remain true to her and someone I can hold accountable of doing all that through thick and thin.
Yes! Another answered prayer in 2016– my sweets got married! ❤️
Met my sweets great friends, too!
The Converse Squad!
Celebrating another year with friends I’ve met in the gym but have grown deep friendships with.
As with all the other friendships I have my entire life, the people in this group will always be people I will treasure forever — my children’s classmates parents. People we’ve developed great friendships with. I love watching our kids play, have fun and grow together (even if they no longer belong to the same class). I just love them all to bits and I will always be grateful of their friendship.
PURSUIT MANILA FAIR
Just as I thought I’ll be closing the year without joining any fair because I thought I wasn’t prepared for any… I was wrong! He opened doors for me through Pursuit Manila to not just sell my products but to share my knowledge of the craft I love most — I held a workshop! And that frame right there is my entry to our community give-away– my handmade inspirational frame. What a blessing to be a blessing!
Oh, my heart!
I hope you enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane with me. This is my first time to do this and so far I really enjoyed sharing my highlights with you all. It’s something I wish to continue because really, I didn’t realize that 2016 was packed with so much blessing from Above until after I’ve given it much thought, wrote it down, and read this post.
Here’s to an even more fruitful, productive and full of blessings 2017, friends!
Happy New Year!!! ♥️
